Basic Guava appeal...
Ever since I read the colour challenge on Splitcoast on Tuesday, I have had this card in my head. Unfortunately, today was the first chance I had to execute it and get it onto paper. Once I finished the card, I realized that the colour challenge was actually groovy guava, basic grey and blush blossom. I mixed up blush blossom and used apricot appeal instead....whoops! Oh well, I decided to post it anyways as I still like the way it turned out.
I paper pieced the girls dress using the hostess prints pack paper and also used the same print for the bg paper. I used my new "swiss dots" cuttlebug emboss folder for the guava panel and added a narrow matt of basic grey to make it really stand out. The main image is paper pieced, coloured with markers and I roughed up the edges with my paper distresser. The sentiment is from "always" and I added a few pieces of ribbon to finish off the design. The girls hat and guava panel are both popped up with dimensionals. The little blossom is from Michael's wedding section. They are called wedding confetti and come in little paint buckets. I coloured this one with a blender pen and ink to match my card.
This will be added to my Mother's day cards sale basket.
