Get well penguin...

I wanted to make a "get well" card for my Mom, as she just had surgery on her wrist for her carpal tunnel syndrom. I snagged this image from the PIF (pay it forward) thread and knew right away it was perfect to make this card for my Mom.

I started by paper tolling this image. Before cutting I looked at the image and broke it down into layers...for example: solid base layer, pillow, penguin, and then his ice pack, nose, flipper and feet. I coloured him up using my Prisma's, gamsol, and stumps and then popped each layer up with dimensionals. I added stickles to his ice bedside table...soooo cute! I used my nestabilities and word window punch for the sentiment. The patterned paper is some scraps I had sitting on my table from a scrapbook class I had just attended, added some ribbon and she is ready to go! The finished card size is 4 3/4" squared.

Here is a side view so you can see all the layers of the paper tolling.

Supplies: stamps: happy healing (stampin Up!), sentiment My favorite things (rain or shine). CS: real red, white, bazzil blue, patterned papers by Bo Bunny. Ink: black. Access: word window punch, scallopped and classic circle nestabilities, cuttlebug, Prisma pencils, gamsol, stumps, dimensionals, stickles, and ribbon.

Hope everyone has a stamp happy weekend!
