Palm tree tapestry...
Do you believe in bad luck on Friday the 13th??? Friday was the first day on my Husband and mines holidays and we got rear ended in a car accident that morning!! So, needless to say our holidays are in the toilet...camping is off and so is everything else we had planned. Both of us have pain in our backs, neck and headaches. We are now bombarded with ICBC visits, body shop visits, Doctor visits and I'm sure physio and what not will be prescribed. I am just so thankful that our daughter was not in the vehicle with us!! I just wanted to check in so if I am not around much this week ya'all know why.
I made this card for TLC125 (new techniques challenge). It took me all day to make as I had to keep leaving it as sitting for long periods is painful...lol. The technique is called tapestry and if you would like instructions on how to do it you can find them here. I used the classic pads and then covered the whole surface with embossing powder as I don't have many craft pads. I sponged buckaroo blue, old olive, cameo coral and cool caribbean onto the shiny cs, then stamped the main images masking as needed. I stamped linen over the whole thing in creamy caramel (stamped off once) to really carry the tapestry look.
Stamps: Do the hula, linen. Inks: buckaroo blue, old olive, cameo coral and cool caribbean (sponged on), always artichoke and basic black. CS: Shiny cs, old olive, soft sky, and always artichoke. Access: versamark pad, crystal clear emboss powder, hemp twine.
