mmmm...sahara sand....

Mmmmmm...I just love sahara sand with pretty in pink. So soft and pretty. I popped up the elephants ear with a dimensional and added a baby rattle in it's trunk to carry on the "baby" theme.

Stamps: Wild about you, houndstooth bg (retired), paisley bg, baby talk (rattle-retired), Amuse small oval, "oh baby" sentiment-M's $1 stamp. Inks: sahara sand, pretty in pink pad and marker, white craft, creamy caramel (stamped off). CS: sahara sand, pretty in pink, blush blossom, whisper white. Accessories: Non su ribbon, dimensionals.

Pretty simple and straight forward card but very elegent I thought.

Thanks!

Colour challenge 120

I made this for Colour challenge 120 on Splitcoast. The challenge was a farewell to Cool Caribbean...sniff sniff. I love this colour...so sad to see it go. Rest assured I will still be using it for pesonal cards and use. The colour challenge was for cool Caribbean, marigold morning and pretty in pink. I inked up the vases in vogue for the first time, and I love it. so sweet and simple. This is a new level 3 hostess set from the new catty.
Stamps: Vases in vogue, dotted bg. Inks: basic black, cool caribbean and more mustard (had to substitute the mustard ink as I do not have marigold in the ink pad). CS: marigold morning, cool caribbean, pretty in pink, basic black and whisper white. Access: dimensionals, black grosgrain ribbon, paper piercer and mat pack.

classic wheels...

Here's a quick one I made for Father's day...one of the designs that I was selling. Let me tell you...I went through a lot to get this beautiful set!! LOL. "classic pick ups" was retired in the Canadian catalogue last year. It was on the American retirement list for the end of June. I had some sets I was trading listed on Splitcoast and had someone contact me who was willing to order the classic convertibles (she lived in the States), and then ship it to me. What a girl!! Needles to say I was super excited and very thankful for all her work just for me.

Stamps: Classic pick ups, print pattern. Inks: Basic black, versamark. CS: basic black, real red, silver-non su!, whisper white. Access: Silver emboss powder, "screw" brads, corner ticket punch.

A simple card but a good masculine design I think.

Bundle of boy...

Y'know something....I am really sad to lose buckaroo blue!! LOL...I didn't realize just how much I love that blue. I will keep using it for personal cards and what not but a shame we will no longer be able to demo it. I was hoping that the new blue in the in colours would be very similiar but, Blue bayou is actually quite different. Anyhoo, I came up with this little ditty using the sketch challenge on Splitcoast...(what a fabulous LO this is...so fun). I sponged craft white along the edges of the houndstooth layer and also paper pieced the bassinette.

Stamps: Baby talk, houndstooth bg. Inks: Buckaroo blue, basic black, white craft, barely banana marker. CS: Buckaroo blue, so saffron, bordering blue, very vanilla and Basic Grey's "Oh baby boy" patterned paper. Access: mega circle punch, giga scallop circle punch, twill tape, brad, stardust pen and white gel pen.

Summer Flowers

I made some 4.25X5.5 panels using my friends cuttlebug last time I was visiting. I made a bunch of different impressions with all of her embossing folders. I had this one kicking around and thought it would look cute paired up with the big blooms set.

Stamps: Big blooms, cute converse and wild about you (bird). Inks: certainly celery marker, barely banana marker, bashful blue and basic black. CS: whisper white, pretty in pink, certainly celery and barely banana. Access: soft subtles buttons, glue dots, linen thread, tiny tag, non SU ribbon, cuttlebug and embossing folder.

Just a cute fun summery card to share with you.

Birthday shirts...

Yet another card with this set...

Just a simple masculine birthday card for the supply box. That's what I love about this set is it is so multi purpose: masucline, feminine, party invites, Father's day, Birthday, it's a great set for anytime...lol.

I masked the sentiment and just used the first half and then stamped the rest of the sentiment inside the card.

Birthday Lei...

I was commissioned to make a masculine Birthday card for a "bar age" young, cool guy. I came up with this design and the inside reads "hope you get "lei-ed" on your Birthday!" Apparently, I am told it is perfect, so that was a huge relief to me...lol.

Stamps: Do the hula, canvas, riveting and Karen Foster 1/8" snap stamps. Inks: Basic black, old olive, choc chip and cameo coral, blush blossom, pumkin pie, creamy caramel and pink passion with blender pens for colouring in the image. CS: choc chip, old olive, more mustard, buckaroo blue, whisper white and Basic Grey hang 10 pp. Accessories: eyelets, twine, circle punch, cropodial and dimensionals.

Have I mentioned before how much I love this set?!

Aloha!

oh how I love this set! Once again I borrowed "Do the hula" from a friend. I have just ordered my own so I will no longer have to keep harrassing her to borrow hers...lol. Too bad it is retiring but I know I will still continue to get lots of use out of it. I used my weathered bg and got the neatest effect. I stamped it once and then re-inked the bg turned it sideways and stamped it again. Gives a very neat stamped look. This card is 5X5.

Stamps: Do the hula, weathered bg. Inks: Elegent eggplant, taken with teal, certainly celery pale plum and creamy caramel. CS: whisper white, elegent eggplant, certainly celery and taken with teal. Accessories: dimensionals, paper piercer, matt pack, giga scallop circle punch, eyelets, cropodial and ticket corner punch.

Coastal Father's Day...

I just love this old set. I am in love with lighthouses so as soon as I laid eyes on this set it was a must have for me. Unfortunately, it was already retired when I came across it but hey! I found one to buy anyways. Once I got the set, I simply had to have the retired old world map background to go with it! LOL. I sure hope the new catty has lots of nice masculine sets. I think we are really lacking in that department. Anyhoo... on with the info:

Stamps: Coast to coast, old world map bg. Inks: Night of navy, barely banana marker (for the light). CS: Night of navy, whisper white. Accessories: paper distresser, jute, brads.

I started selling my cards around Mother's Day and am very suprised at how well they are doing. Yes, I stamp them with the Angel Policy stamp so all the rules are being followed. I have gotten quite a few special orders and have been making a supply of Father's Day cards to sell. Needless to say, I have been swamped with card making the last week or so. I have lots of cards to show you and I will start getting them uploaded as soon as I can.

Happy stamping!

Rich coffee...

"Coffee, chocolate and men...somethings are better rich". I saw this sentiment while perusing a stamp site so decided to type it up on my computer to use on this card. You can't see it in the photo but I stamped the "steam" in versamark and heat embossed it with sparkly clear emboss powder.
Stamps: Like it a latte small oval by Amuse. Inks: chocolate chip, pretty in pink, ruby red and sahara sand. CS: cool caribbean, chocolate chip, blush blossom, Basic Grey Blush line. Accessories: versamark, emboss powder, heat gun, liquid applique, grosgrain ribbon, horizontal slot punch, tag, and dimensionals.
Love these yummy colours together! Almost good enough to eat...errr...I mean drink. Ha ha ha!
